Outlook

In 2005 much was accomplished. However, for us the work is never over and BSI is constantly striving to improve and upgrade all aspects of its operation. Priority will be given in the coming years to the following areas:

• Introduction of new and modern banking services and procedures
• Upgrading of the Bank's software and hardware to maintain a state-of-the-art IT base
• Expanding the SEPEHR system to every branch of the Bank and its subsidiaries
• Improvement of the Bank's organizational and operational systems to enhance quality of service and customer satisfaction
• Continued investment in human capital through advanced training courses in- and outside Iran in all relevant fields involving all levels of employees
• Expansion and upgrading of the electronic communication network between the various branches
• Outsourcing of non-operational activities to increase efficiency and reduce cost
• Expansion of international operations and strengthening of the international network of branches and subsidiary banks to optimally support customers in their international business activities

All these activities aim at preparing BSI in a systematic way for its upcoming privatization.
